CPSO Logo Usage

Print page icon

Physicians and physician assistants (and others, such as clinic owners) may not display or use the logo or the crest of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario ("CPSO") on their websites or on printed materials. “CPSO”, the CPSO logo and the CPSO crest are the intellectual property of CPSO and have been granted official mark status under the Canadian Trademarks Act. Use of the CPSO logo is not an appropriate or permissible method to indicate that a physician or a physician assistant is a registrant of the CPSO. If a physician or physician assistant wishes to do so, they may indicate this by stating that they are a registrant of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, or more specifically, that they hold a certificate of registration to practise medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in case of physicians, or that they are registered as a physician assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in the case of physician assistants. CPSO reserves the right to require the removal of the CPSO logo or crest from a registrant or other party’s website or printed materials.
